Cookie details
Hand2Note uses cookies and similar browser storage. Necessary storage supports the website and services you request. Analytics and support chat are optional and remain off until you give consent.
Use Cookie settings in the website footer to change your choices or withdraw consent at any time. Reject all keeps necessary features available. Choices are remembered for 180 days, after which we ask again. Clearing browser storage also resets your choice. Withdrawing consent stops optional services, removes their accessible first-party storage and reloads the page. It does not delete information already sent to a provider; contact support@hand2note.com for data requests.
Necessary storage
- hand2note-cookie-consent (Hand2Note, local storage): your category choices, consent version and selection time. Used for 180 days; replaced when you change your choices.
- hand2note-storage (Hand2Note, local storage) and user-local-storage (Hand2Note, cookie): account/session state and website preferences. The cookie lasts up to 30 days; local storage remains until cleared or replaced.
- Authentication, payment and anti-abuse services may use storage when you request sign-in, checkout or a protected form. These features do not require analytics or chat consent.
Analytics — Smartlook
With analytics consent, Smartlook collects usage events and session recordings to help us understand and improve the website. The service is configured for its EU region.
- SL_C_23361dd035530_SID: session/visitor metadata cookie, with a rolling expiry of up to 13 months.
- SL_C_23361dd035530_DOMAIN: temporary cookie used to determine the cookie domain; removed during that check.
- SL_L_23361dd035530_SID and smartlook_*: metadata and recording-related local storage; browser local storage has no automatic expiry.
- smartlook_internal_db (IndexedDB): temporary recording queue. Browser database storage has no automatic expiry; Smartlook manages its queue and we request deletion when analytics is refused or withdrawn.
Support chat — Intercom
With support-chat consent, Intercom provides the Messenger and remembers conversations. If you decline, you can still contact us at support@hand2note.com.
- intercom-session-w3oa01qv: conversation/session cookie, default duration up to 1 week.
- intercom-device-id-w3oa01qv: device/abuse-prevention cookie, rolling duration up to 270 days.
- intercom-id-w3oa01qv and other intercom-* or intercom.* local storage: visitor and Messenger state; local storage has no automatic expiry.

Media and requested services
YouTube videos connect to YouTube only when you select Load YouTube video. We use its privacy-enhanced embed domain. Loading a video can allow YouTube to process data and store information under its own policies. Google sign-in loads when you open a sign-in form; payment providers load when needed for checkout.
We do not currently load advertising tags. Optional services are loaded individually rather than through Google Tag Manager so each category follows your choice. Provider storage names and defaults can change with provider updates.
See our Privacy Policy for more information. Return to Hand2Note to open Cookie settings.
